About the department
EIFO is Denmark’s sovereign investment fund, providing long-term capital to startups, scaleups, and growth stage companies. This role sits in Direct Venture & Growth, which deploys significant capital into high potential scaleups with proven traction and global ambitions. We invest across sectors, while life science remains the primary vertical on the venture side.
We work closely with founders, leadership teams, and co-investors to support governance, international expansion, and strategic decision making.
You will be part of a dynamic and growing international team of 11 investment professionals with experience from pre-eminent organizations across venture capital, private equity, management consulting and C25 companies.
About the job
As a Student Analyst in the Direct Venture & Growth team, you will undertake challenging and varying tasks that offer participation in both investment processes and the active ownership of companies that actively contribute to shaping the future of Denmark’s and Europe’s economy. The role will equip you with a comprehensive skillset and exposure to the full investment lifecycle, serving as a steppingstone for a career within venture capital, growth equity or financial services.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Conducting strategic and commercial analyses of potential investments and the markets they operate in
- Contributing to financial analyses of potential investment cases
- Supporting the day-to-day management of deal flow and CRM systems
- Collecting, structuring, and efficiently communicating information on potential or existing investments
- Represent EIFO externally at start-up events, incubators, universities, and conferences
The workload will be approximately 15-20 hours a week with flexibility in relation to your studies.
Your profile
We are ideally looking for a candidate who:
- Is in the final year of a bachelor’s degree and planning to commence a master’s degree within finance, strategy, or a related field
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Has experience with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Has a genuine interest in venture capital/ growth equity and are motivated to develop professionally in a fast-paced environment
- Has achieved excellent academic results
